Shop Manager
Janette Davies organises the volunteers, runs the shop day to day and undertakes the sourcing and supply of goods to sell in the shop. She is a listening ear for the community and helps organise many social events and fundraising events during the year.
Post Officer helpers
The Post Office is run with the help of several volunteers who are fully trained in the provision of post office services be it selling stamps, issuing and receiving cash and postal orders, taking in parcels etc.
Shop volunteers
Each day we are open a volunteer assists the shop manager and post office helper to serve in our community shop. Why not join the team? It is a great way to get to know the locals and doesn’t have to take up much of your time as each slot is for 2 hours.
Volunteers don’t just serve behind the counter in the shop but also provide other services like collecting groceries and fresh fruit and vegetables from the wholesalers, collecting fresh meat from the butchers; disposing of the waste cardboard; taking and collecting dry cleaning; making fresh cakes, savoury items, soups and jams etc.
